Function Extracellular cellobiosidase acitivity is stimulated by chloride. Cl-stimulated cellobiosidase has also been found to be associated with cell membrane debris. It is capable of hydrolysing p-nitrophenyl lactoside and p-nitrophenyl cellobioside. A detectable activity on carboxymethyl cellulose has also been found.
