Blue copper protein. It is involved in photosynthetic electron transfer in the anoxygenic photosynthetic bacterium. Can donate electrons to cytochrome c-554. It has an intense absorption band near 600 nm in the oxidized form. Contains a type 1 copper(II) ion characterized by an intense blue color.
