Function in Native Organism 1) tfpO is required for pilin glycosylation in P. amygdali pv. tabaci 6605.
Additional Information1) Deletion of tfpO gene encoding TfpO shows a production of unglycosylated Pilin which indicates that it is required for pilin glycosylation.
2) TfpO mutant also shows a reduction in surface motility and virulence toward host tobacco plant which shows that pilin glycan plays an important role in bacterial motility and virulence.
