Potential Application1) The agents which interfere with the flagellin glycosylation process and inhibit infection has therapeutic potential.
Additional Information1) pseA and pseD mutants glycosylate flagellin with Pse5NAc7NAc but lacking PseAm.
2) Insertional inactivation of pseD, which results in an altered flagellin glycosylation.
3) pseD mutant revealed that the flagellin was no longer glycosylated with Pse5NAc7Am.
